Radial Pressure Wave Therapy

Radial Shockwave therapy, also known as Radial Pressure Wave Therapy (RPW therapy), is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound technology to deliver high-energy sound waves into the target tissue to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities. RPW therapy has been shown to help reduce pain in various musculoskeletal conditions as well as improve functionality and quality of life especially where conventional treatments were unsuccessful.

A typical session of RPW treatment session lasts between 5 to 15 minutes. Depending on your specific condition, it may require 4 to 8 treatments spaced a week apart to resolve your issue.

RPW therapy can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including chronic low back pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, calcific shoulder tendinitis, rotator cuff tendonitis, tennis elbow, acute muscle strain and tear and myofascial trigger points.

Radial Pressure Wave application is generally a pain free procedure. The level of discomfort a patient may experience during the treatment depends on the area being treated and the severity of the condition. Also, it is not uncommon to experience some swelling, irritation, or a dull throbbing pain in the involved area following the treatment, however, these symptoms usually resolve within a few days.
